Life Line Ambulance CPR Classes
Life Line can offer the following courses in your health facilities, or providers may send their staff members to our training sites. We offer the following AHA TC Classes for the public:
Note: Prepayment for classes is required. Payment on the day of class will not be accepted. Payment is NON-REFUNDABLE, but if a cancellation notice is received at least 3 business days prior to the start date of the class, the student will be permitted to reschedule to another class. Cancellations received less than 3 business days prior to the scheduled start date will result in forfeiture of tuition. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late for class will not receive certification and will not be refunded tuition fees.
A minimum of 4 students must be enrolled in order for the class to be held. If the class is canceled, you will be contacted at least 2 days prior to the scheduled class date and either offered a refund or enrollment in a later class date.
Heartsaver AED - Heartsaver AED is a classroom course that teaches basic CPR and AED skills such as:
• Giving CPR to an infant, child, or an adult
• Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Using a mask or barrier device

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED - Heartsaver First Aid With CPR & AED is a classroom course that is designed to meet OSHA requirements. The course teaches basic first Aid, CPR, and AED skills such as:
• Helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain
• Giving CPR to an infant, child, or an adult
• Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Audience:
• Designated first responders
• Individuals needing credentialed training for job or regulatory requirements
• Select departments or an entire workplace
• Individuals needing credentialed training for job or regulatory requirements

HCP - The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Audience:
For healthcare providers, and other students, who are seeking first-time or renewal training that offers a BLS course credential card
ACLS - Providers will enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This course emphasizes the:
• importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival
• integration of effective basic life support with ACLS interventions
• importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation
The course includes simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader.
Audience:
For healthcare providers working in emergency treatment, intensive care or critical care, and other professionals who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
PALS - The PALS course gives healthcare professionals the knowledge and skills to better recognize and treat critically ill infants and children. The course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of pediatric patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest.
The course covers treatment beyond the first few emergency minutes and goes through stabilizing patients or transport phases of a pediatric emergency, in or out of the hospital.

For healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.

PEARS - The main focus of PEARS is prevention, and specifically the assessment, recognition and stabilization of pediatric victims at risk of severe cardiopulmonary distress.
Students develop skills in recognizing certain pediatric distress signs and symptoms using several unique visual cues and working at learning stations. Because typical PEARS students do not regularly treat critically ill children, the course includes video-based simulation so they can actually see and hear critically ill children.
Audience:
For healthcare providers who infrequently see critically ill children and any healthcare provider who might encounter pediatric patients.
This course is not intended for those credentialed for advanced pediatric skills that routinely provide pediatric care.
